Mit dem Rettungsgerät kann auf offenem Gewässer gepaddelt, ebenso vom Wasser aus auf das Eis gefahren werden. Er kann zusammengelegt mit dem Wasserrettungswagen oder mit dem Geräteanhänger transportiert werden.
